Performance Specs & Premium Features

First, an interesting point of fact. When the SL line of vehicles, which includes this one, were first introduced without an announcement of what the abbreviation meant. In fact, it wasn’t until 2017 that someone discovered something in the corporate archive that stated it stood for Super-Leicht. Before then, some people thought it might have stood for Sport Leicht.

Powered by a 1.9L 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed manual transmission, this convertible 190 SL is capable of generating 104 horsepower alongside 105 pound-feet of torque and achieves an estimated 18.8 miles per gallon combined fuel economy rating. With a top speed of 106 miles per hour, the 190 SL is able to hit 60 miles per hour in just over 11 seconds. Obviously, that doesn’t compare to vehicles today, but it was pretty quick back then.

While many of the features may not compare to the electronics you’d find in a vehicle of today, it is packed with luxury accouterments that will make you feel stylish as you make your trek wherever you’re going.
