Back in November, we covered a vintage 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280 model. It was a 280SL Convertible, and it’s actually still available. Today we’re looking at another vintage 280, this time a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Coupe 3.5, also currently for sale right here in North Miami Beach FL. Premium Specs & Features
A vintage luxury vehicle, this thing is beautiful and premium from bumper to bumper. Powered by a 3.5L V8, it’s capable of generating 197 horsepower alongside 211 pound-feet of torque. Combined with its 3,549-pound curb weight, it’s only capable of hitting a top speed of 130 miles per hour, but that was some pretty impressive performance back in its day. Same with its fuel economy, which sat at about 12.7 miles per gallon.
Unfortunately, as a 1970 vehicle, it isn’t packed with a wide array of incredible premium features like driver-assistive safety technologies or a 12-speaker audio system, but it does deliver a vintage look and feel. Its wood-look dashboard filled with dials and gauges will bring you right back to the ‘70s and offer an enjoyable experience each time you decide to take it out on the road. Even its wheels and tires deliver a vintage feel that sets you apart from other vehicles.
