During this generation of the 911’s history – which ran from 1971-1973 and were referred to as the E and F series – the Porsche 911 was powered by a 2.3L engine capable of generating 140 horsepower, 165 hp, or 190 hp depending on the trim level. The engine utilized technologies like mechanical fuel injection and the vehicle also featured a stronger transmission system than previous iterations.
