Today we’re going to go back even further into history than our last two spotlight blogs, all the way to 1980 in order to highlight a very rare Toyota model. Popular among collectors due to its limited availability, this 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is definitely a special model we’re excited to have for sale right here in North Miami Beach FL.

Performance Specs & Premium Features
From 1960 through 1984, Toyota built the FJ40 series of Land Cruiser vehicles. A heavy chunk of the iconic model’s history fits into that two-decade-plus span of years, and the FJ43 in question certainly slates into that timeline. Quite similar to the base FJ40 model, the Land Cruiser FJ43 has a slightly longer – considered medium – wheelbase than the regular FJ40, though not quite as long as the FJ45.
This beautiful, vintage off-road utility vehicle is powered by a 4.2L inline-6-cylinder engine capable of generating 135 horsepower alongside 210 pound-feet of torque. Obviously, you’re not going to participating in any races behind the wheel of this vehicle, but it is still capable of delivering a fun off-road experience if you’d like to take it there. With only 81 miles on the odometer, it has hardly been used at all.
The most interesting part, in our opinion, about this throwback vehicle is its unique cabin. Instead of normal rear seating, the FJ43 features two inward-facing bench seats and an open center. It would certainly make for some fun, short-distance day trips on or off the road. If you think you’d like to bring this Toyota home to your collection, don’t hesitate to give us a call right here at Prestige Imports. We cannot wait to see you in the driver’s seat!
