It might be difficult to believe, but there’s just a bit over a month left of summer. Of course, it’s pretty much always summer here in Florida, but the season coming to an end means one thing: it’s almost Labor Day 2017. We figured you folks in the Miami FL area might be looking for some things to do, and we figured what better way to celebrate, relax and spend a long weekend that by listening to some fantastic music? That’s precisely why we’ve put together this list of music festivals in the area over Labor Day Weekend!
Tequila Bay Country Music Festival
Miami is getting taken over by country music this Labor Day Weekend, as several top-tier country music stars are heading to the city for the Tequila Bay Country Music Festival. Musicians include platinum recording artists Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore and Tyler Farr, award-winning powerhouse duo Montgomery Gentry and many more. Tickets range from $55 to $150 and there is plenty to enjoy on September 3rd.
38 Years of Churchill’s
Churchill’s is a famous pub on 2nd Avenue known for its rock music, and they’re certainly going to be putting that on display over Labor Day Weekend as they celebrate 38 Years of Churchill’s. There will be 3 stages, over 50 acts and absolutely no cover charges over the three-day weekend. If you’re a rock music fan, you are not going to want to miss this incredible festival.
Ball & Chain Music Festival
Finally, you can head to the ol’ Ball & Chain on 8th Street for the Ball & Chain Music Festival. Doubling as both a Labor Day Weekend celebration, and their 82nd anniversary, this three-day music festival will feature everything from jazz to Afro-Cuban funk to Latin pop and everything in between them. The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs through 2 a.m. on September 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
