A legend will soon be reborn at Prestige Imports. With the Geneva Auto Show now underway, we’ve recently enjoyed our first viewing of the all-new 2018 Porsche 911 GT3. And, since this is one of the purest examples of Porsche performance and craftsmanship, we thought we’d give a quick once-over to see what we can expect when it arrives later this year. 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 Performance
There was some worry when the 2018 911 GT3 was announced that the popular manual transmission would go the way of the Dodo, but this thankfully isn’t the case. Buyers will have the option of a six-speed manual or the seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, either of which would be mated to a 4.0L flat-six capable of 500 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque. All of these numbers translate to a level of performance that is truly otherworldly: a zero-to-sixty sprint of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 197 mph.

As seems to always be the case with Porsche, the construction leans heavily on lightweight materials, particularly in the carbon-fiber-constructed front fascia and distinctive rear wing. It will also offer locking rear differential to assist with its rear-wheel-drive traction, while the GT Sport steering wheel from the 918 Spyder is coming along as well. Then, with new tech features such as the Track Precision App and the new Porsche Communication Management system now offered as standard, connectivity is never in doubt either.
