Since then rumors have been abound regarding what exactly the compact sedan will offer. Range
When the Tesla Model 3 was first rumored, it was planned to not only be the most affordable vehicle the company has ever built, but also offer a range that makes sense for an everyday vehicle. As it stands, the Model 3 will be able to travel 215 miles on a full charge.
Performance
Obviously very little has been confirmed when it comes to performance at this time, it’s still quite early. We don’t know horsepower or torque ratings, but Tesla has confirmed that the Model 3 will be able to hit 60 miles per hour in less than 6 seconds.
Seating & Safety
Despite being a compact sedan, the spacious Model 3 will be able to sit up to 5 adults comfortably. We probably use the term “comfortably” a bit loosely in this regard, as packing 3 people into one seat is always a bit uncomfortable, but if you need to fit 5 adults the Model 3 can accommodate. Additionally, Tesla has stated that the Model 3 was designed to achieve a 5-star safety rating. While that won’t be confirmed until it undertakes the tests, we can cross our fingers that the Model 3 will meet this goal.
Other Features
The Tesla Model 3 will also feature some form of autopilot hardware as well as supercharging abilities. As of now, the MSRP is set to $35,000, which certainly meets Tesla’s promise of an affordable electric vehicle.
