Late last month, Lamborghini gave us a very limited sneak peek at an all-new special edition vehicle they’ll be releasing next year, the 2019 Aventador SVJ. At this point in time, we still know next to nothing about the exotic super car’s specs & features; however, Lamborghini did recently release footage from inside the vehicle of the record-breaking race through the infamously grueling Nurburgring track. Each year, Lamborghini hosts what they call the Lamborghini Avventura, a series of expeditions meant to discover the most picturesque driving destination across the globe. Previous events saw Lamborghini models in beautiful places like Andalusia and Transylvania, but this year the event took a lineup of Lambos to Norway. The trek took these incredible vehicles from Alesund down the Trollstigen to pass through Valldal, Geirangerfjord, Jostedalsbreen, Loen and eventually up to Mount Aksla. We’ve gotten a sneak peek at the next new vehicle from Lamborghini, as a camouflaged supercar took to the famous (perhaps infamous) Nürburgring racetrack. Driven by Marco Mapelli, the debuting Lamborghini didn’t just go for a casual stroll, it set a brand-new lap record for the grueling Nürburgring Nordschleife, finishing in 6:44.97 minutes. As it turns out, the camouflaged vehicle is the next Lamborghini model to adopt the SVJ name, as it’s rumored that we’ll see the official debut of the 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ (or Superveloce Jota) in August. One of the great things about Lamborghini is that almost, if not every vehicle they make becomes an icon in the exotic sports car industry. Through the decades, they’ve made tons of different vehicles that still elicit a reaction today. For instance, the legendary Lamborghini Miura, of which only 763 models were built in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. We knew that Lamborghini was going to be making an announcement on Tuesday at the Geneva Motor Show, and we had our fingers crossed that it would be an introduction to a new vehicle, but we weren’t sure. Well, now we can confirm that it was indeed an unveiling, of the 2019 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder. With a release date of sometime this summer, we cannot wait to get our hands on one.

It’s official! In one year’s time, the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante has shattered the records of eight different international circuits.
