Features and Design of the 2017 Nissan GT-R

A new year brings us an all-new GT-R that is full of exciting technology features and a customizable design that is sure to turn heads every time you back out of your driveway.

Available in seven vivid exterior colors and six stylish interior colors, creating a one-of-a-kind Nissan GT-R has never been easier. The body of the 2017 GT-R has been finely crafted to enhance aerodynamics and provide the ultimate driving experience. Under the hood, the GT-R features an engine that has been handmade by one of the master engineers in Nissan’s climate-controlled “clean room”. Each twin-turbo V6 has been made from lightweight and highly-durable aluminium and magnesium parts. Because of the quality level of its parts and builders, the GT-R has an engine that is ready to show the world what a supercar can do.

Drive Mode

The 2017 Nissan GT-R has three available driving modes that are always ready for an adventure. Three switches allow you to adjust specific parameters for the transmission, suspension, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) to give you complete control over your driving experience. R-Mode was made for maximum performance and amazing handling. While Normal Mode is more for the smooth and refined ride of an everyday car. The GT-R also has special modes designed for comfort, and a gentler torque delivery.

All-Wheel Drive

While most sports cars are in hibernation mode during the winter and when road conditions are less than favorable, the 2017 GT-R powers through any terrain with one of the most advanced all-wheel drive and VDC systems ever seen. While we won’t expect any snow in South Beach anytime soon, with the 2017 GT-R, you’ll be prepared for anything that the Florida roads throw your way. The GT-R provides nearly 100% of its available torque to the rear wheels and is able to send up to half to the front wheels giving you the added confidence only all-wheel drive can offer along with the steering and response of a rear-wheel drive car.

Custom View

The GT-R has once again rethought the way drivers receive information. Easily accessed screens provide a state-of-the-art way for the driver to get feedback about the vehicle. If you want to keep an eye on the engine, oil temperature, and turbo boost, Custom View 1 is the choice for you. Custom view 2 is for those who prefer to monitor the Acceleration Gs, and throttle position. In Custom View 3, drivers will be able to keep track of the current fuel economy and how far you can go until your next pitstop. Built for heavy-duty driving, Custom View 4 provides a look at the temperatures of the various fluids as well as oil pressures. Finally, Custom View 5 gives drivers updates on the chassis dynamics and brake pedal usage.

While we do not have the 2017 Nissan GT-R quite yet, we do have the equally-amazing 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo with a coupe-style Pearl White exterior and just 900 miles on the engine.
