Prestige First Look: The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet

This is the time of year at Prestige Imports when we enjoy our first early peeks at models that are entering or nearing production, and which we then cross our fingers in hopes that they’ll someday appear in our North Miami Beach showroom. The reveal on this page comes to us from the Geneva Auto Show, and it’s certainly something to behold: the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet. So, what is it?

What is the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet?

Building on the popularity of models such as the Mercedes-Benz G63, what we see here takes that sensibility to its logical extreme. As opposed to the V8 found in the G63, the G650 Landaulet will roll with a twin-turbo V12 that generates a rakish 630 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, a soft top that can be electrically raised and lowered, along with a glass partition, make this the ideal safari vehicle for those of us who don’t mind shelling out for the absolute best. The rear seating area also offers folding tables, 10-inch LCD displays, and even heated/cooled illuminated cup holders.

So, will we ever see it at Prestige Imports? As of now, only 99 are scheduled to be built, and will likely stay in European markets for the time being. However, we wouldn’t rule anything out. Check out the photos below, and pay us a visit to see our entire lineup of terrific Mercedes-Benz vehicles or to take a test drive!
