We haven’t talked much about the Pagani brand in some time, but we’re super stoked to finally touch on the automaker’s newest vehicle, the Pagani Huayra R. The latest step in the evolution of the Pagani Huayra, the Pagani Huayra R is the brand most extreme hypercar yet, which is one reason why it was built to be used exclusively on the track. We thought we’d cover some of the technical specs & features regarding the new Pagani Huayra R, so check them out below.

“Today’s racing cars are focused exclusively on aerodynamics and are largely the product of the wind tunnel. In the 60s and 70s, however, the cars were very fast, certainly dangerous, but beautiful. Prototype sports cars like the Ferrari P4 or the Ford GT40, or the Le Mans cars, had extremely attractive lines, which are still a huge source of inspiration for our cars today. The Porsche 917 is my favourite, with its romantic yet bold shape, which gives the impression of a very fast car. It is beautiful, elegant and timeless. From this desire for freedom, and from the experience of the Zonda R and the cars of the past, came the idea of the Huayra R, like a breath of fresh air.”– Horacio Pagani, Founder & Designer, Pagani Automobili
Powertrain & Performance
Underpinning the track-exclusive Pagani Huayra R is the new Pagani V12-R engine, which is itself exclusive to the Huayra R. The 6L naturally aspirated V12 engine is capable of generating up to 850 horsepower alongside 553 pound-feet of torque. It will deliver maximum track performance right up to the red line, which is 9000 rpm. Additionally, the vehicle weighs just 2,314 pounds.
The vehicle was designed as a celebration not only of performance but of technology and art and how it can be applied to a track car. It represents the very pinnacle of technological development at Pagani Automobili, incorporating many technologies that will be featured in future Pagani models to showcase them ahead of time.

As more information about this incredible machine – of which only 30 units will be built – becomes available, we’ll be sure to make it available right here on our blog, so be sure to check back often for additional updates.
