Fun & Comprehensive Driving Experience at Lotus Driving Academy
Lotus Driving Academy sessions began on 22nd June and took place three times a month at Lotus’s 2.2-mile test track at Hethel, where the company has been based since 1966. There were three different LDA courses available:
- Level 1: A professional instructor guides a driver in an Emira through the whole Hethel test track for 20 minutes. The purpose of this course was to give individuals interested in driving a Lotus Emira a unique opportunity to experience it and give it as a gift.
- Introduction to Sports Cars: In the full-day program, guests will have 2 x 20 minutes of driving with a professional instructor on the test track. They will learn about Emira’s different driving modes and how to control the car for optimum performance. After a guided Hethel factory tour, you will have access to the Chapman Production Centre, where the Emira is built. The day ends with a tour of the Classic Team Lotus, where you will see a variety of Lotus race cars.
- Level 3: This tailored course will help drivers achieve their personal goals through skills training, including slalom, oversteer, and understeer activities. With a 3-to-1 ratio of guests to instructors, drivers will have the opportunity to receive personalized attention and instruction.
