What the difference between a supercar and a hyper car? Let’s take a look.

How to Tell a Supercar and Hyper Car Apart?
The differences between supercars and hyper cars are subtle. In fact, if you’re unfamiliar with what you’re looking at beforehand, there might not be a way to tell for sure. However, there are two main categories to look at when trying to figure out the difference. They are performance and rarity. Let’s take a closer look.
Performance
Hyper cars, as their name suggest, are focused on performing as highly as possible. Usually, this means that the bare minimum is done to make the a hyper car street legal. Comfort can also be an afterthought. Anything that isn’t necessary is often removed to increase speed and performance, such as radios or A/C. Super cars are similarly powerful, but they take a hit to performance in order to increase luxury and comfort. As a result, they’re measurably slower than they’re hyper car counterparts.
Rarity
The production run of supercars is limited, usually to less than 10,000 units. For comparison, Toyota produced 300,000 Corolla models in 2019. This makes supercars desirable and sought-after. However, hyper cars are rarer. Much rarer. The average hyper car sees fewer than 500 units produced, and it’s not uncommon for units produced to never exceed double digits.
